Thanks to everyone who donated blood for the American Red Cross in Honor of my friend, TW Drullinger. TW recently lost his battle with cancer but his ability to continue to make a positive impact for others continues on, even after his passing. His blood drive, Orange is the New Red, will hopefully help others like TW who are battling cancer and other diseases. We miss you TW. Steven Anagnost

It is with a sad heart that we put to rest my closest friend in Oklahoma today, TW Drullinger. I've often tried to describe TW to people in the past. It is always impossible to do this great man justice in describing him because he is so great and wonderful. "You just have to meet the guy" is what I would always end up saying. Those of us who knew TW, know exactly what I am talking about. Those of us that were fortunate and blessed enough to have had TW Dillinger in our live...s is truly that, a blessing. He's just the kind of guy that changed people, and always for the better. Since his untimely passing, I certainly have had time to reflect with myself, my family, and TW's family and circle of friends. My thoughts of him quickly lead to a laugh and chuckle, as he always had a smile, and a funny story to tell. I can't think of a single person who didn't love him. That's the kinda guy he was. I have always strived to make the most of the gifts that God has given me. I strive to do better each day, and to make a positive difference in the world around me. I've done this the best of my abilities through my family and through my medical practice. TW was one of those special people in this world who made a positive impact on you almost the minute you met him. The more time you spent around him, the better person you became. To say he loved his family and his friends was an understatement. He embodied the true meaning of the word role model as both a father and a friend. TW Dillinger, much like his father and mother, was a giver. He gave with such ease and humility. He exemplified the definition of a good person, a great father, and a faithful friend. TW always knew when to call and just what to say when you were down. He cheered you on in times of happiness, and held you up when your spirit was low. I've always appreciated and tried to live by Luke 12:48 ".to whom much is given, much is expected." Those of us that were blessed enough to have TW in our lives, have been given a wonderful gift in this life. I suppose that it is from us, that great things are now expected. I hope and pray that I can continue to pass on the life lessons of true love and friendship onto my family, my friends, and my patients, in the same way that TW has touched all of our lives. Thank You TW. I will miss you, each and every day.

I am so proud of my daughter Lilly who was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz performance at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center this weekend. Thank you to all who came to see her.

It’s common for medical procedures to provoke anxiety. There’s often a feeling that you have no control over the outcome, aren’t clear on the specifics of the treatment, or don’t have time or space to process. This can make the experience all the more daunting. As overwhelming as it may feel going into surgery, there are ways to make the overall experience more manageable. To learn about coping with surgery anxiety, we spoke to Dr. Julie Simon, a psychologist in Massachusett...s who specializes in working with individuals who have been touched by a medical illness or issue in some way.
