B & K Waste Control 17.09.2021

After driving on some of the roads and walking in some areas, we have made a difficult decision. We are unable to safely run route on Friday, February 12th due to the ice. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our valued customer; however, we must keep our crew safe and our equipment on the roads to be able to provide quality service in the future. We make every effort to keep our routes running; this storm is the first time in over ten years that we’ve not been a...ble to run an entire route dayit’s just not safe. Even though the highways and main throughfares are improving, the neighborhood streets are still a sheet of ice. With the current conditions and additional predicted precipitation, we are not able to reliably schedule a makeup day. As of now, the plan will be to run route next Friday. We will notify customers of any further updates or changes to the schedule. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unusual weather. Stay safe!

After driving the route this morning, we made a difficult decision. We are unable to safely run route on Wednesday, February 17th. The additional snowfall last night made roads unsafe this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our customers, but we must keep our crew safe and our equipment on the roads to be able to provide quality service in the future. We know you already have trash for two weeks and we don’t want you to have to wait another week, so we are considering options for a makeup day, but it all depends on the weather and roads. We will keep you posted on schedule changes; whenever we are able to resume service, we will take all your household waste. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unusual weather. Stay safe!

We are getting a lot of phone calls and messages about if we will be running Wednesday's route tomorrow 2-17-21. I drove the route earlier today, the roads look passable. However, the decision on whether or not we will be running will not be made until after this next round of snow tonight. I will start driving the route around 3 in the morning and make a decision after seeing what the night brings us. Again we appreciate your patience.

We are unable to safely run route on Tuesday, February 16th. We just returned from driving the route, and the combination of the snow packed roads with the extreme wind chill factor led to this difficult decision. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our customers, but we must keep our crew safe and our equipment on the roads to be able to provide quality service in the future. With the current conditions and additional predicted precipitation, we are not able to reliably schedule a makeup day. As of now, the plan will be to run on your regularly scheduled day next Tuesday. We will notify customers of any further updates or changes to the schedule. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unusual weather. Stay safe!

We are unable to safely run route on Monday, February 15th. The snowfall last night made some roads unsafe this morning, and we must consider the wind chill factor for the safety of our crew, as they would be in these brutal conditions for over 10 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our customers, but we must keep our crew safe and our equipment on the roads to be able to provide quality service in the future. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unusual weather. Stay safe!

Many of our Monday customers are contacting us, however, we are not yet able to determine if we will be running route on Monday, February 15th. With the anticipation of additional snowfall, the roads may be impassable, and we must consider the wind-chill factor for the safety of our crew, as they would be in these brutal conditions for over 10 hours. We will be driving the roads tonight and in the morning to make a decision and will let you know as soon as possible. Even if we are able to run route, you are not required to put your trash out. We don’t want any of our customers to be injured by taking your trash to the road, and we will be back to normal routes next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe!
