Well Done thy good and faithful servant! Today was the Celebration of the Life of my daddy! He was a great leader in the Kingdom of God, the community, and acro...ss the nation. Although he is gone his legacy will live on! I would like to thank everyone for their prayers, calls, and comments! I can’t let this Black History Month go by without recognizing my daddy, the late great Dr. Jayel Jacobs Jr. He was instrumental in leading hundreds of thousan...ds souls to Christ (through revivals, street preaching, and door to door witnessing) Traveling with the Street Ministry across the U.S. to various cities and states some being Texas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina. He was deemed The Street Preacher for the Street People. In 1979 he (including my mom Joyce Marie until her death in 2004) along with some of the Members of the Street Ministry organized Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church where he was a large presence in Oklahoma. He led members of CLMBC to building a 1.3 million dollar building, supporting missions all over the world as well as establishing several extensions. He also gave thousands of dollars used to feeding and paying bills of those in the community. He led parades against crimes, a member on one of the Governor’s Task Force, singing for rescue workers after the OKC bombing (just to name a few) He was a trendsetter in the city: one of the first black churches on television (he was also on radio). He was also a businessman purchasing Snowies, Food Trucks, Restaurants, Convenience Store and Gas Station, CEO of Sweet Spirit Foods. He was an author of his own autobiography, called From Preaching On The Streets to Pastoring In The Pulpit ( along with other booklets used for leading someone to Christ and organizing a church). He remained faithful (50 years in the ministry and 41 years as Pastor) until his death Dec. 23, 2020. He truly made a difference!!!
