MDR First Round Pick 9824G ET will be headed to Dixie National later today to close out his show career this Saturday then head on down to the coast of Mississippi to start working in the herds of Diamond M Gelbvieh and YNOT Ranch! This bull has been an absolute pleasure with his flawless disposition. We really got attached to this one and it’s gonna be a hard day when he heads on south with Warren Martin after the show. We had the honor and privilege of exhibiting the National Champion Balancer Bull at the inaugural Cattleman’s Congress right here in the great state of Oklahoma! We would like to thank each and everyone who jumped in to help with MDR First Round Pick 9824G ET. This bull comes with a story of almost a decade of breeding from key animals and semen we have purchased along the way. On the bottom side he goes back to the OSU Empress 6211 ( BR Midland/ OSU Empress 4251) cow we purc...hased out of the 2011 Cowboy Classic. 6211’s first flush was to Gambles Hotrod and it flat out worked because Dobson Empress 301A has been a can’t miss donor here at the DR. FRP’s top side goes back to a flush opportunity that Jason Fincannon help put together with Curt Johnston’s cow K/F Bella Impact 5032 that we flushed to Dameron First Class. Out of that flush we ended up with Dobson Aftershock 5500C and Dobson Cassandra 549C which we AI’d as a replacement heifer to JRI Next Step to get MDR First Step 7549E the sire to FRP. It’s been a long process but well worth the time! We would like to thank Jared Bain for putting in the time with this bull over the last year and Trent Ray for jumping in to help manage him going into the Congress as well as Jared and Trent’s crews for having him look his best.
