VOTE BY MAIL I would like to encourage everyone to vote by mail in the upcoming election. The process is fairly straightforward, and my office is happy to assi...st anyone who needs help. I have had several people ask me how the process works, and these are the steps you need to take: 1. Go to https://okvoterportal.okelections.us/. Enter your name and date of birth and then click request an absentee ballot. You can request an absentee ballot for any reason, and you can have it mailed to the address on your voter registration card or any other address that you choose. 2. When you receive your ballot, fill it out and place it inside two envelopes that are included. 3. Fill out your information on the outer envelope and do ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1) Have your signature notarized, OR 2) Attach a copy of a current government-issued identification card to the envelope. Your voter registration card is an acceptable form of identification if you do not have a driver’s license or photo ID. 4. Place your envelope in the mailing envelope, which is also included, add TWO stamps due to the weight, and mail from any mail drop box. Lora at my office is a notary and can notarize up to twenty ballots for this election cycle. Once she reaches that limit, we can photocopy your identification and assist you in properly preparing that. This service is free of charge and we will not look at your ballot or ask how you are voting. This is a very important election, and no one should forego their right to participate in the democratic process due to the inability to vote in person. My office is happy to assist you in making your voice heard.
