*********CANCELED************** The Eagle watch scheduled for February 20th has been canceled. The road conditions have not improved enough to safely conduct the watch. The next Eagle watch will be held March 6, please contact the Nature Center to reserve a spot. 405-321-4633

It's a beautiful Tuesday morning here at the lake. Take a selfie walking one of the trails and come show us at the office and receive a back pack.

Lake Thunderbird hikers take a selfie as your walking one of the trails. Then come by the park office and show one of the office staff your picture and receive a 1st day hike back pack with 2021 hiking coin. While supplies last.

Happy New Year! The management team at Lake Thunderbird State Park has made the difficult decision to postpone our 1st Day Hike that is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. today until 11:00 a.m. tomorrow - January 2, 2021! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

For this year's First Day Hike, our friends at AARP Oklahoma have donated a special gift for visitors to parks with Heart Healthy Trails, so come see us this New Year's Day and start the year off on the right foot! : Great Plains State Park
