After helping many, many families complete their foster care journey through the finalization of the adoption, God presented my wife and me our own opportunity to become Bridge Resource foster parents to a young baby boy. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, I reflect on this journey. I am thankful for this baby and the joy he has brought our family, thankful for my wife and children who have loved him and cared for him tirelessly, thankful for my extended family who has open their hearts to him, and thankful for our church family who has provided so much love and support. I am also thankful for other foster parents who open their hearts and homes to children in need. I have a much better understanding of what it means to be a foster parent. In short, I am thankful.
