It's been a while since I posted, so before sending y'all some New Year love, I wanted to post one of my favorite senior shoots of 2020. THIS SHOOT WAS BACK IN THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER (as most of y'all saw in my stories), back when it was warm (sigh)....and I've been dying to post ever since, but just haven't had the time to sit down and pick my favs. HADYN SMOKESHOW HOBBS...need I say more?! Gorgeous, adorable, stylish and fun, all wrapped up in one. I can't tell you how much fun I had on this shoot, but if you look at the pics, I think you'll see for yourself. P.S. These aren't airbrushed...bc wowza...they didn't need to be.

My favorite thing about these 2? The rain didn't even phase them, AND they were up for me taking them away from their reception to get creative. And the groom made that arch! P.S. If it rains on your wedding day, you get a free after session with me THE SPRINGS Event Venues

I NEVER edit my family pics early before my clients, but needed to this year because my Fall Minis signups in Norman were the most trusting bunch EVER--they had no preview of where we would be shooting this year, but trusted me anyway. Because of the ice storm, the first spot was destroyed, so I came across this just days ago. I had initially planned to take my family photos in the city (hence the more city-like look on my part), but this area was so pretty that I just couldn...'t pass it up. I know a lot of people skip mini sessions because they wanna do something different, but seriously...you might miss out on something so beautiful when you do. ALL the colors of the fall rainbow! I just wanted to thank my clients from the bottom of my heart for always trusting me and signing up, even if they may not know what they're getting into. I am so, SO grateful to you all. Also, your patience this year with all the crazy weather and reschedules has meant the world to me. Anyway, here I am being super vulnerable because I REALLY hate myself in photos--and I'm a photographer, go figure. But I hope you're excited to see your photos now that you see what this area looks like photographed! THANK YOU. And shoutout to my MOM for taking the photos that all 3 of us are in...you are the best! My love of photography comes from her. P.S. Happy Halloween from Judy and Elroy Jetson! Had to at least play on Jude's white hair one more year! We were going to be the entire Jetson Family, but Burke had to work :'( --Oh, and look how cute these tees are from One Babe's Junk Co! Jude was being RUDE when I tried the "I Put A Spell On You" shoot in not the most ideal lighting, so that's what we got & I didn't try again. I'm going to be sharing a Fall Series I did of Jude on Monday that I hope to be offering as some minis next year! Hope everyone had a great day.

Not really sure how I'm gonna top last year's Fall Minis! These were some of the most gorgeous pics...especially the individuals of the kiddos (which I only thr...ew a few in there and chose quickly, bc I'm a tired lady from all the editing I've done today lol, so if yours isn't in there it doesn't mean I don't adore them just as much). I just wanted to give a shoutout to all my beloved families and tell them I can't wait to see them again this year....and thank them for being patient with everything having to be so last minute as far as getting times, etc. bc of the weather! These two just welcomed their firstborn, beautiful Charlotte Rose, into the world...so I had to share some of their maternity session. I shot these at an earlier time that I normally shoot, so they look a little different than my normal work...but I'm actually loving these so much! I have been shooting with Lexie since she was a senior in HS, and shot her and Noah's wedding last year. First, just LOOK at this breathtakingly beautiful woman! Lexie is the kind of girl that when... you meet her, you think her sweetness is too good to be true...but I'll tell you that she is one of the most genuinely sugary sweet people you'll ever meet. I know she is going to be an AMAZING mother, and Noah will be an amazing father. You can clearly see how much these 2 love each other, and the way they love is something that baby will beyond blessed to receive. Wishing all the happiness in the world for this new family of 3! Speaking of daughters...they don't get any cooler than this. This family had a big scare this summer with Izzy, and the fact that I was able to shoot these is, by definition, a miracle. All I can say is they have one VERY strong mother who is a great example of what one should be...and to be her daughter is a blessing. And it doesn't hurt that these girls are ABSOLUTELY beautiful, know how to model like pros, and put together outfits like no one's business. I chose a handful of randoms to post, because they are all SO good and it was hard to choose.

This is what I had planned to do with these photosa cool collage (didn’t put photos in order yet). I just roughly edited the photos quickly tonight for #nationaldaughtersday, so they are a LITTLE rough individually.

It is National Daughter's Day, and I sure would love it if you took the time to read this full post (I'm leading towards a heartfelt message to y'all at the end)! I wanted to share this because 1.)THIS girl is the reason I RARELY post my work on social media anymore or give sneak peaks and 2.) I wasn't going to take these photos due to me currently having Bell's Palsy (read on). By the time I'm finished working and editing all day, I just wanna spend time with this ball of su...nshine who fills my life full of joy. My time with her is SO important. You guys...I've been SO sick in a Lupus flare the past few weeks...so much so that it gave me Bell's Palsy. I almost didn't take these photos because of this and gaining 10lbs bc of the prednisone I have to take bc of it. I actually had planned to have my makeup done by the wonderful Kaitline Coffey and the works...something I NEVER do for myself. I canceled it all and felt so sad that the one time I planned photos with my girl, this was the state I'm in. But the nurse at an appointment I had said JUST TAKE THE PHOTOS...you'll be so happy you did. So I tried to fix myself up the best I could and asked my mom to snap a few shots...and the nurse was right! I will cherish these few photos forever. We took all side profile pics to cover my drooped face...& the one where my face is showing I was able to fix it a LITTLE (don't zoom in). But I just want to thank all of my clients for being SO good to me, and having so much grace when these moments hit me. I've ran into some people lately that were not so kind, not knowing what I have been going through (even though I haven't canceled ONE shoot during this time)...so just know how much you all mean to me. YOU ARE THE REASON I FEEL HUMAN when most days I don't---being sick and being TREATED like a sick person has ripped my confidence away from me, and you all trusting me to shoot your precious memories helps me to feel like I'm OKAY and still ME. Sending lots of love to all of you with crazy, beautiful, wonderful daughters! Cherish every moment--I've sadly learned that it goes by tragically too quick. See more
