Mimi & Me

I do a lot of sewing for my grandkids, it is my stress reliever. But for Christmas and Easter I try to do something special. Easter has been an heirloom type dress for the girls. This year Kylie worn an actual heirloom as it was her momma’s dress when she was little. I made a matching dress for Peyton, she was too small for the smallest size of the 20 year old pattern so I printed it at 90% and it was perfect. Also, I didn’t realize how much the original dress had yellowed until I put it up to the new one, two washes in woolite and another in oxyclean and it looks like new!! The last two pictures are the old dress before it was washed and whitened up and Jess in the dresss 20+ years ago.

My sewing room is in my basement and it is usually cold down there anytime of year, well when it it freezing outside it is even colder down there so I don’t get a lot done. Did make time for some new pullovers for one of my favorite customers!

Finished the boys and have enough fabric left for one child size hoodie or raglan, would have a coordinating color for sleeves. The fabric is a cotton French Terry. Goes to first with PayPal info. $40
