The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory that includes Oklahoma County until 7:00 PM tonight. Stay indoors if possible. If you must be outside, be s...ure to drink lots of water and protect yourself from the sun. Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you're working or exercising outside, you may still be sweating and develop heat stroke, so don't assume that you don't have it just because your skin isn't dry. Heat stroke is a life threatening emergency. If you suspect you have heat stroke, call 911. Bring animals indoors when possible, and be sure those outdoors have unlimited access to fresh, cool water.

Here are our drive-through hot meals for the rest of this week, June 9 - 11. Meals will be picked up from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Must be registered for the Senior Nutrition Program to collect daily hot meals. To register, visit inside the Midwest City Senior Center from 9-10 a.m. or 12-1 p.m.

The Midwest City Community Center, City Hall, and Senior Center are closed to observe Memorial Day today. We will reopen tomorrow, June 1st.
