Tom and I have really enjoyed our Spring clinics this year! They have all been amazingly positive, and full of happy, smiling, positive people. We started with ...our first clinic in Kansas hosted by Courtney Reppar. It was wonderful, meeting new folks and it will be even greater to return next year. I was busy looking for trailer repair parts, so unfortunately I did not get many pictures, of the Kansas clinic. Thank you Courtney for putting together such a nice group of people. Next stop was Gay Georgia, hosted by Margaret Sisson. Lots of return attendees with some new faces added to the mix. Tom and I were also blessed to have our Florida neighbors visit us in Gay. It was great seeing Richard and Linda Johnson. If you have been to Winter Camp, in Florida, you know how much these neighbors mean to us. Thank you Margaret, if anyone thinks that hosting a clinic is easy, they haven't hosted one. Our Virginia clinic at the Bar W hosted by Derek and CJ Wise is always like coming back home. What a great family and ranch atmosphere to have a clinic in. Nothing better than spending time with friends and family discussing Horsemanship, and ranch roping. Thank you Derek and CJ. You not only share the ranch. You open up your home and we all appreciate it Other than the long drive to get there, following the Bar W clinic with the Gelinas Farm is like coming home again. We have been going to Gelinas Farm for 22 years! But, who wouldn't want to keep returning to such a beautiful farm. Everyone stayed super positive even when it was raining in the cow working. Joanne Gelinas Snow and Arthur Snow have done an amazing job building with this farm, and good people seem to suround themselves with good people. KARMA Last but not least was our clinic hosted by Jason Drass at Clover Creek Farm. We had some really hot weather, but everyone did a great job of hanging in there. It always helps when the farm has a ice stand directly in front of it. Tom had a tremendous surprise when Bettina Drummond came to ride with him. Bettina brought her horse Vousy. Vousy looks great for a horse of 22 years. Tom started Vousy when he was a 2 yrs old. Bettina is doing a diary of Vousy's life and progress, and I believe this will be published in the Eclectic Horseman. Please forgive me if I'm wrong. At this clinic we also learned that stuff happens and we should never take things for granted. Life is good and God is great. Thank you Jason for working so hard to make sure we have everything we need. I'm going to post all of these photos at one time, I hope everyone enjoys them. We are off to Wyoming next. See more

(If you are tagged in this post, you are on my list.) Thanks! About Tom: Tom Curtin grew up in the Big Sky State of Montana where his father had an outfitting and packing business. Tom was extremely fortunate to be around and work for some of the most famous ranches of the west; among them being The King Ranch, The Four 6’s, Johnson Ranch and the 7D Ranch. Along with beneficial settings for horse training, Tom also had the chance to learn from many inspirational men in the horse world. Buster Welch, for example, had a significant influence on how Tom now views and trains the horse. Ray Hunt and his wife, Carolyn, also played an active role in the formation of Tom’s horsemanship. Ray showed Tom how to look at things from the horse’s point of view, an invaluable aspect of horse training that Tom still honors today. Along the way, however, a constant figure in Tom’s life was his father who remains today an exceptional and an accomplished horseman.
